Projevy nemoci
Především se onemocnění projevuje únavou a celkovou slabostí. Může se dostavit dvojité vidění nebo porucha vidění na jednom oku (bývá zasažen oční nerv). Často se objeví poruchy čití na kůži končetin a trupu, nepříjemné svědění (např. v obličeji). Pacienti mají potíže při mluvení, cítí mravenčení, brnění a ztrnulost. Nemohou správně a dobře hýbat s končetinami, ztrácí nad nimi kontrolu. To se projeví nekoordinovaností pohybů. Dostaví se závratě a třes. Někteří jedinci mají potíže s řízením a kontrolou vyprazdňování při močení i stolici.
